Halloween and Sushi

My Halloween Night
I wish I could write a little bit more about my Halloween then I’m going to do but the thing is that I’m not able to remember all of it what if you asked me is kind of a sign for a great night…
First of all it was really hard to decide to which Halloween party I wanted to go because nearly every club/pub in London did a Halloween Night. After a few struggles my friends and me decided to go to the Milkshake Halloween event in the “Electric” in Brixton which was definitely the right choice! (Later more about that)
So for a Halloween party you need a costume don’t you. This year I decided to go as a cat because well I like cats and I didn’t really had time to think of something else… But I’m not so good with doing my make-up and all of this but thank god I have some great friends to help me with that. Two other Au Pair and I had kind of a pre party before the real party. There we made our make-up and got the last details done for our costumes and of course we had some alcohol. If you go out in London or any other big city with expensive alcohol you should make sure to take some pre night drinks. If you buy normal bottles of alcohol it is way cheaper and you get way faster drunk … or at least you get easier in to the party mood.
At half past 9 or something we were pleased with our look and alcohol level and we were done with listening to nearly every One Direction song :D So it was time to go trick or treating… Well sadly most of the families put their pumpkin back inside the house and nobody opened the door for us. Accept one man… he gave us some sweets and a bottle of Pepsi. Bless him!
Now to the real party…We arrived at 11pm I think… although I’m not really sure. But I remember that in the beginning there weren’t that much people. It was easy to dance and you had space! Later it got crazy!! There were so many people and everyone was dressed!!! It was amazing. I saw a few Super Heroes, skeletons and people with an amazing creepy make-up. And the music was great too. You could dance and sing along to it. All I can say is that it was one of the best parties I went to and although I can’t recall every single detail I remember that I had fun which is the most important part isn’t it ;)

Sushi for Recovering
After I got over the Halloween-Hangover it was time for an After-Party on Monday…. There is this website called groupon.co.uk (go check it out it’s awesome) where I found an all-you-can-eat sushi thing for 4 persons for 56£. So guess where we went on Monday. The restaurant was called Sushicafe in Clapham. It was really nice there and the food was delicious. We ordered three times food and every time we tried something new. My favourite were the Spring Rolls and of course the sushi… it was so tasty and I love it how sushi makes you feel full but in a good way. You know it’s kind of a light way of feeling full :P. But in my opinion without the groupon it would have been a little bit expensive… because on the other hand the stuff was a little bit strange…They couldn’t answer our questions and they had problems with understanding us and we had problems with understanding them… But it was still a great night out and I’m going to go there again J

The Maze Runner

I love movies! Either Comedy, Action, a Classic one or Tragedy… It doesn’t matter I watch everything. And that’s the reason why I enjoy going to the cinema so much. However some movies are better than others. Some may have a good story but the acting is horrible. Others have a great soundtrack but you can’t really get into the movie…

So I made a new category to talk about my passion for films: Movie Talk Time. Whenever I see a movie and I think something about it is special I’m going to write an entry about it.

Here is the first one… “The Maze Runner”. This movie is for sure one of the really good ones! The story is absolutely amazing… (What you probably know if you have read the books already).
Anyway I’m not going to tell you what’s happening in this film because I want you to watch it by yourself. It is worth seeing it! I mean just have a look at the actors. First of all there is Dylan O’Brian and I’m pretty sure most of you know him from Teen Wolf as Styles and you just have to love him.  He’s playing the main character Thomas, so if you are a Dylan O’Brian lover The Maze Runner is a movie you definitely have to watch.
But he is not the only boy you will recognise… there is also Newt played by Thomas Sangster. I’m pretty sure you all know him as Simon from “Nanny McPhee” or you saw him in “Game of Thrones”. And let me tell you something he hasn’t changed at all… He is still looking like this 10 year old cute boy. But when you get further into the movie you realise that his acting skills became pretty good and you start seeing him as the man and great actor he is.
Besides those two, one of my favourite actors was Ki Hong Lee (Minho). Maybe you know him from “The Nine Lives of Chloe King” (I didn’t) but I’m sure that with The Maze Runner his carrier just started. His acting was great although I couldn’t name one character that did an awful job with acting… Oh and by the way he is seriously good looking if you ask me.
Though my favourite character was probably Chuck who was played by Blake Cooper. You just have to love him! He is one of the youngest boys in the Maze so you automatically see him as your little brother… I could write so much more about him but that would kind of give away the outcome of the movie …

The final scenes are just amazing… obviously it’s ending with a cliff-hanger because there are two more books waiting to become a movie… but still it is an ending you just cannot imagine during the movie.

“The Maze Runner” is such an exciting movie and you get so easily a connection with the characters and the story. Furthermore the music and the camera angles are on point and supporting the thrilling feeling you get while watching. Totally worth to be seen!

The National (Portrait) Gallery

On Sunday I visited The National Gallery and The National Portrait Gallery and to be honest …. There isn’t that much to talk about. I mean both galleries are really lovely buildings and there are a lot of paintings to look at but it can be quite exhausting to just look at art the whole day.

Although The Portrait Gallery is more fun … There you can also see some sculptures and some really strange stuff like a video of David Beckham sleeping. In my opinion the paintings there were just more interesting.

If you are a fan of paintings of Jesus and all this religious things then you may like the National Gallery… You can find an awful lot of them there. Here and there you also see some really good one from van Gough or Cloud Monnet … but most of the time it is Jesus.

I never have been a big fan of art museums so maybe that’s why I didn’t like the National Gallery that much. But if you are someone who likes art then those two Galleries are the right place for you. The entry is for free and if you do a little break in between it’s also possible to see both at one day. But believe me your feeds and your eyes are going to need the break. You don’t have to spend hours there to see everything (accept if you do want to have a close look at every single painting) so you would still have some time to visit some other sighs or maybe just have a nice dinner or lunch at one of the many restaurants around it.

And now let the pictures speak for themselves…
